The Great Pyramid of Giza alone contains around 2.3 million individual stones, with an estimate of around 5.5 million tons of limestone used. If you were to lay all those stones end to end, they would stretch for a distance of around 2,500 kilometers.

So how did they do it? Well, it all comes down to engineering. The ancient Egyptians were masters of construction, and they used their knowledge of physics and mathematics to devise clever techniques for moving and positioning the stones. For example, they used ramps and levers to lift the stones into position, and they used water to lubricate the sledges that were used to transport the stones across the desert.
